I'm a neuroscience professor who likes to play sports. I study hearing and the brain because mine is degenerating and I'm fascinated by others'. Let's delve into making positive impactful lives together.
The universe is big and contains many levels of space and time. Given our limited occupancy within these levels, I would like to explore our inner and outer worlds. Within a fairly small number of parameters, any of us can render ourselves unique, but thinking of that which would most quickly do so, I'm a neuroscience PhD who likes electric and acoustic guitar (listening not playing for now), the Yankees, the fiction but not the politics of Orson Scott Card, and craft beer but not cheese. So about 7 parameters to try to become nearly unique, but the fun is discovering what really makes other people truly unique.

Music: Electric and acoustic guitar, such as Van Halen, Richard Thompson, Laura Marling, Nickel Creek

Movies: Comedies, interesting films, such as Ghostbusters, Memento, Grosse Pointe Blanke, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Naive about more recent ones

Books: Embassytown, The Golden Compass, Speaker for the Dead, Dune
